I want to share three pieces of advice with you to help you become more organized as a real estate agent. It can be easy to forget some of the smaller or more mundane things about the job like scheduling or documentation, so it’s my hope that these practical steps can benefit your client relationship as well as your profit.
Becoming Organized and Not Forgetful:
- Calendar everything: if it’s important, if you have to be there… put it on your calendar. That way, as a business owner, you can take responsibility for your schedule. Make lists too if that helps you prepare!
- Silence phone notifications: there are too many things going on in our lives to devote our attention toward. Your clients will appreciate you being in the present moment, and a simple and effective way to do that is turning off your phone notifications that compete for your energy.
- Prepare contracts and documents ahead of time: file all your paper documents in your accordion and have them in your car to take with you. If you prefer electronic, set up all the templates you’ll need, that way the client recognizes you as an organized and thoughtful agent.
These are some amazing hacks that have allowed me to save time, appear organized, and strengthen my relationships with my clients and staff. Most of these intentional measures take up only a moment of your time but are infinitely beneficial to increase focus and preparedness.
